Dig For Ideas ("we", "us", or "our") operates digforideas.com. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it.

Account information — When you sign in with Google OAuth, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google. If you sign in with email and password, we store the email and a hashed password.

Payment information — When you purchase credits, Stripe processes your payment. We do not store your card number. We receive a transaction ID, amount, and billing email from Stripe.

Usage data — We collect information about how you use the service, including research queries, credit usage, pages visited, and feature interactions.

Device and browser data — We automatically collect IP address, browser type, operating system, and referring URL through our analytics tools.

2. How We Collect Data

  • Supabase — Database storage and user authentication
  • PostHog — Product analytics and session data

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Research data (queries and results) is retained for the lifetime of your account so you can access your history. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law.

You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing help@digforideas.com. We will process your request within 30 days.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Export your data in a portable format
